General Terms and Conditions for the International Conference on Environment and Society

These Terms and Conditions apply to registration for and participation in the International Conference on Environment and Society.

Registration and payment are processed through the Converia conference management platform.

1. Registration

Registration for the conference is completed through the online registration system.

A registration becomes binding once the participant has completed the booking process and received a confirmation email.

The applicable participation fees are displayed during the registration process.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered in the registration system.

Participation is only guaranteed once full payment has been received.

Cancellations must be made in writing by email to environment26@uni-konstanz.de.

The following cancellation conditions apply:

If a participant is unable to attend, a substitute participant may be nominated.

The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the conference programme, schedule, speakers, venue, or format if necessary.

Such changes do not entitle participants to withdraw from the registration free of charge.

If the conference has to be cancelled by the organisers, participation fees already paid will be refunded.

Further claims, including travel or accommodation costs, cannot be reimbursed.

The organisers are only liable for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

The organisers are not liable for loss of personal belongings, travel disruptions, or accommodation costs.

Photographs and recordings may be taken during the conference for documentation and communication purposes.

By participating in the conference, participants acknowledge that they may appear in such material.

Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs should inform the organisers.

Personal data will be processed exclusively for the organisation and administration of the conference.

German law applies.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
