  • dietary requirements or accessibility needs, where voluntarily provided

The processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as it is necessary for the organisation and administration of the conference.

Where participants voluntarily provide additional information, such as dietary requirements or accessibility needs, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

5. Conference Registration Platform

The conference registration and booking process is managed through the platform Converia.

For this purpose, personal data may be processed by Converia as a data processor on behalf of the University of Konstanz.

6. Data Sharing

Personal data are only shared where necessary for the organisation of the conference.

Data may be shared with:

  • service providers supporting the conference organisation

  • payment providers

  • venues, catering providers, or hotels, where necessary for participation

  • internal departments of the University of Konstanz involved in organising the conference

Personal data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention

Personal data will only be stored for as long as necessary for the organisation and follow-up of the conference and in accordance with applicable legal retention obligations.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • request deletion of your data

  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
